Vanadium Pentoxide V2O5
Vanadium pentoxide has a high coefficient of thermal resistance. It is both an amphoteric oxide and an oxidising agent.
Uses:
Battery development
Ceramics – generally used in combination with tin oxide in glazes to produce yellows and is more stable at higher temperatures than antimony
Chemical and environmental catalysts
Manufacture of vanadium salts
As a flux
